Pros and cons of Sygic Morocco: GPS Navigation app for iPhone and iPad

Sygic Morocco: GPS Navigation app good for

I bought this app as a backup solution for the navigation system the rental company wantetd to provide me and to be honest, in the end it was the first choice. The mas were more accurate and newer, the system reacted very fast (IPad 2) go for it
Im using this app for 3 years, and its amazing, I just miss the head up display feature. Thank you

Some bad moments

First off the update to version 12.2 wiped out my favorites, nothing left. Secondly it crashes continuously after 15 or 30 minutes, not very nice when you have to pull over every few kilometers, and in cities guaranteed to get lost, not the purpose of a GPS. I want the old version back.
The only big advantage of this app is the walking mode which loads of other gps just dont have. Sygic tends to get lost and it contains very little data. It follows the route very slowly, mixes up places and eventually stops working. Since other apps were unavailable at the time of purchase, at least it was better than nothing.
I bought this app because I couldnt get Tomtom Morocco unless I had a UK app store account. This app cant find a lot of the towns I went to even though the map would show them if I zoomed in enough. So, navigating to a particular town or city would not necessarily get you a route - youd have to find the location manually. The location of turns was up to 0.5K off. This would not be so bad out in the country where there are few roads but it happened in cities where I had to guess which intersection to turn at. Hopeless on dirt and piste roads off the paved roads because the app doesnt show them (I found this out in Merzouga and Taroudant). It was somewhat helpful in the Marrakech medina to guide me back to my Riad but the souks were not plotted; just my position and the Riads position with a straight line between the two. In routing from Boumalne Dades to Cascade DOuzoud, it routed on a road that a local person did not recommend for our small car (I went a different way so I cant validate this issue). Its a good thing I picked up a paper map before I rented a car. The paper map and road signage were better than this app. I just wish I could find a better map (like a Michelin map). On the plus side, the POIs in cities were more complete than I found when using the Tomtom app in Europe. This helped on one occasion when I was looking for a specific train station. Of course, it would be hard to compare Sygic and Tomtom because, as I previously stated, I could not get the Tomtom app for Morocco.
I have sygic for Europe and really liked it. For Morocco, where I live, it is good to get from city to city but it is not adequate in terms of landmarks, restaurants, and hotels. Even major resorts are missing from the search.
Its really very old map with this application its take u from old road which they used before make the highway my advice to bye tomtom much better
